PC 7424, what deal would you recommend??

are there any difference between the PC 7424 and the 7336 beside the price?

The 7336 has the 6" counterweight while the 7424 has the 5" counterweight. Also the 7336 is marketed as a "sander" while the 7424 is marketed as a "buffer". The machines are identical aside from the model numbers.

Charles, you think its possible to order the one from WI even though we are in different states?

I'm tempted to order 100 of them at that price!
It would be interesting to see what would happen if you were to order several. An order for 100 might get someone's attention, but 2 to 10 by different members of your staff might work. With free shipping, no less.

I ordered one from there (WI) to be delivered to me here in AZ. Price stayed @ $69.97 all through checkout - I'll let you all know how it goes. Thanks for the tip!! :)

I would certainly think so.

$109 for NCer. Dangit! You could try waiting for their 20% Tool sale, grabbed a few PC's then myself.

Or you can shop from WI and have it delievered to your house. If Norah gets her PC with no problems, I might order a second one as a backup or for my brother when I do some cars.

I finally bought a PC and I can't wait to get it. Bringing back memories of christmas time as a kid. I bought the autogeek deal for $189.99 that includes the lake country pad set, Pinnacle swirl remover and free pinnacle wax. With the 10% off, it wasn't a bad deal at all.

If I just go to www.lowes.com and enter 51472 in the search box, I get the price $69.97. I also get that price if I follow the link Charles posted.

The first time I went to their web site I had to enter my zip code before I got any pricing. I guess the pricing is local, but surprising that it varies so much. $69 is alot different from $109.

I also get the "Free Parcel Shipping" link on the homepage.

If you clear cookies on your machine, and then went back to lowes.com and enter a Milwaukee zip code (53202) as your zip code, I bet you would get the better pricing. :present:

Has anyone been fortunate enough to purchase one of these at the 69.97 price lately?:help:

:santa: :goodluck: I have been searching and found the G-100 with the lifetime warranty, backing plate and a polishing pad for 149.99. I think this is were i am going to get it from for christmas, with some #80 and #83 with a set of pads, what do you guys think. http://www.autodetailingsolutions.com/Porter Cable Specials.htm

I looked at the link and it stated 1 PC, 1 backing plate, and 1 pad for $150. I didn't see anything about #80 or #83. I bought mine at Lowe's a month or so ago for $99 the pad and BP are worth about $30 max. So, I think this deal is $20 too much. Recently, I heard someone suggest getting the PC through Amazon.com. They have a promotion where if you get their credit card you get $30 off your first purchase from them when using the card. I think this makes the price $80 or $90.

Considering that the G-100 includes a lifetime warranty, the package seems reasonable. If the machine will get a lot of use, $20 extra for the lifetime warranty would probably be a good investment.

Personally, I don't put much value in warranties. Most companies these days look for every opportunity to avoid doing a warranty repair. So, often it's quite a bit of effort to get a repair made under warranty. Plus, I've personally rarely ever had to have anything repaired under warranty. On the rare occasion I have had something repaired the company usually sends a refurbished model which breaks a short time later. IMO warranties are often more grief than good.

What is the diffence in the G-100 and a regular 7424 or 7336? Never heard the term G-100 before....sorry if this is a silly question.

You can still get the 7336 from Lowes for $109 w/ free shipping.

yes you can, I saw a few there on Sunday...then you can get all the extras like a flexible backing plate and pads from a place like PAC and get exactly what you want and need.. You can also call Dwayne for expert advice on which pads to use with which products, and you can't put a price on advice:no:
