Here is one picture, I taped off a section of my door and went over it with one pass with my 7424, cutting pad, and Meguiar's Dual Action Cleaner/Polish (83). Huge difference, but as you can see there is some hazing....I worked the polish a long time - is this decent results or should I try something else? I followed up with a polishing pad and Meg's Swirl Remover 2.0 to take care of some of the micromarring. I'm just wondering what you guys think of the outcome.
The left side is untouched, the right side has just one application of #83 only.

Try using the #83 with Meguiar's yellow polishing pad #8006. Meguiars does not recommend using their burgundy cutting pad with a dual-action polisher, it is for rotary use only and if used with a dual-action machine, hazing can result.

Use #80 with a Meguiar's yellow polishing pad after using #83 to remove any fine marring that the #83 might leave behind. This should look very good when you are finished.

I actually used Wolfgang pads, I believe. It is orange in color and says it is a light cutting pad. Porter Cable was run on speed 6.

Orange Wolfgang pads are pretty comparable to Meguiar's Bergundy pads. Try using a White Wolfgang pad (polishing pad) and you won't get any hazing.

Yes, that's exactly what I was going to suggest too.

When I have serious scratches, I use the burgandy pad and #83. I followed up with the yellow pad and #83 and/or #80. It works for me. When I mention this on the Meguiar's forum, Mike Phillips cringes.:D
