Pc 7336sp

Hey there. I just went to Lowe's, and they had a PC 7336SP, and they only had one more box, the box was damaged, so they took $10 off of the price, and there was nothing wrong to the unit itself. I ended up getting it for $80!.

I'm somewhat of a PC newbie, and I already bought a ton of hook and loop Meguire's pads. I see that type of mounting place is not included with the 7336. So my question is, what do I need to get to allow me to use the velcro backed pads?. I hope there isn't much of a difference to the 7424, and if there is.. what do I need to get to make it work like the 7424?.

Sorry for the newbie question lol

Hey, which Lowes did you buy yours at? I bought mine in Garden City, Long Island and there were two boxes left, one damaged and the other, clean. It'd be pretty funny if you bought that damaged one and paid $20 less and it probably works perfectly.

BTW, You're going to need to purchase a backing plate. There are different sizes, and you're going to need to choose the size accordingly with the size of your pads.

Do a search on backing plates and you'll find all you'll need to know. I bought mine from www.exceldetail.com with they're starter kit.

Enjoy your new toy.

guapsnaman.. I bought it at the Lowe's up by me in Queensbury, NY. I wasn't going to say anything.. but my gf told me to ask, couldn't hurt. It worked though lol

I guess according to Eliot all I need is a 5" pad. Is propel any better then meguires?.

That's a 5" backing plate (but I think you just mis-typed that).

I have both Propel and Meg's pads and like them both. The Propel pads are less expensive so that's what I currently buy. Same with the Propel and Meg's backing plates, I have both and either one will do fine with Meg's or Propel pads.

The 6" counterweight on your 7336 will also work fine. If you order the propel backing plate you could also order a 5" counterweight for $2.00 in case you wanted to swap them out for some reason. You'll love using the PC!
