PBs Wheel Sealant, is it worth it?

I have wondered this before and asked the question and gotten nowhere. If Pb's WS is so good, why don't people use it on their paint? As has been stated many times here, most wheels are painted/CC just like the other painted surfaces of your car (hell, one of my cars even has the wheels painted the same color as the body). I'm not arguing this, just inquiring.

From what I've read it is more likely to streak on paint than EXP or regular sealants.

Now I KNOW you have some 845, right? Use it and be happy.:)

Maybe just a little lol ! that would be like me saying you have * some Menzerna * ha ha ha ha . always looking for ideas on the wheels I have, they are a pain to keep clean and when they are, they look descent. would like to get rid of them but the truck is 11 years old might not be worth it :nixweiss

you can try wheel wax as an alternative, but i honestly think that wheel wax and poorboys are the exact same product. i use wheel wax, and the tub will probably last forever. removal is a bit of a pain though!

Im still trying to understand why anyone feels the need for a dedicated wheel sealant. If Poorboys or anyone else had a wheel sealant that's as durable as 845 or Z2 don't you think they would have a "paint" sealant that's just as durable?
See this man thinks just like me, those were my exact thoughts.

I have heard wonders about Colinite Insulator Wax on rims being better than PBWS. The only thing that sucks is that Danase doesnt carry it and I am about to place a big order. Plus if I get IW I can then use it next fall to go on top of Zaino for the winter. I just dont want to order one thing and pay $8 for shipping.

I agree just like no one will convince me otherwise that CGs swirl removers are not the same thing as PBs SSRs. But I wont go there as that topic has been beaten to death.

Just speaking off the cuff rather than with scientific proof my thought would be that it is formulated to with stand the heat that is generated. The paint surface of my truck does not get the intense heat generated from braking and tire wear.

Could this have any merit??

I can see where this would be the premise behind it

Yes I have. This works very well too! In fact I have put Zaino on everything but the exhaust and muffler. But I still use the wheel sealant. My 5 year old Little Detailer would not have any fun with out the bubble gum wheel sealant product that we put on together.

Which Zaino are you guys talking about? Z2?

Well in my case it is Z2Pro. When i have left ove in a bottle that has been ZFX'd I have put it on evreything. Windows, engine compartment, door jams, wheels, even have a layer of Zaino on the inside of my truck box and tailgate.

Your black truck doesn't get just as hot in that TX sun as your wheels? IMO unless you are running on the track, your wheels will never get as hot as dark colored paint in the summer sun.

When I first started detailing for money one of my clients asked, "Dude, did you wax the door jambs?" "Yes sir I did." "Thats insane but looks so good because you open the door and its an extension of the rest of the shine." "That was the intention!"

Its funny how those little things really get people!
