PBMG Customer Service

Hello everyone, this is my first post in about 3 or 4 years as life has made it difficult to stay relevant on the forum. From what I've read, it sounds like the forum was down for a bit anyway......maybe that's why I stopped posting to begin with?

Back to my post.....again, it's been years but I've always kept Autopia bookmarked on my favorites. I attempted to shop last week and was re-directed to Autogeek. Since the two bookmarks are right next to each other, I thought I miss clicked, but I didn't.

I was a little taken aback by this change because I have close to $1,000 in Gift Cards & Rewards points. I've tried to contact Autogeek to confirm that they will still accept the G.C.'s and rewards points however I cannot get a hold of anyone and they have not contacted me back. I've emailed, called two different phone numbers (800-869-3011 - from the email confirming they received my email and 772-286-2701 from their website) - I've called both of these numbers multiple times. I've also attempted to do a live chat on their website and got no response.

Does anyone know what's going on, or how I can actually get in contact with someone from PBMG?

Thanks for the help!

Autogeek/PBMG has relocated to the Sonax USA facility, here is their facebook page which has the Sonax customer service email as well as a phone number: https://www.facebook.com/SONAXUSA/

That's an interesting question about the Autopia gift cards and rewards points. They only folded the Autopia store a few months ago. Let us know what they tell you.

Thanks for the response.

I will definitely utilize these options to try and connect with them and absolutely let you know what they say about the G.C's and reward points.

Great video with the aid of a drone in the link Setec response about the new facility/fulfillment center in Indiana.
Interesting to see wash bays and a test-and-training area as well .
Just wondering if Sonax is sharing this facility or is it just a "consolidation" of the two businesses now owned by Vision Investments LLC.
Still "concerned" about Customer Service, but the fact of the Original Poster having AutoGeek honor his past rewards and gift cards by the new owners gives credence to the viability of this business venture.
I am old school and prefer talking via a phone conversation with a REAL person about orders or product recommendations or concerns. We will see......

IMO Vision bought PBMG to enhance the distribution of Sonax, probably didn't work out exactly as expected. This is a new facility...I guess you could call it a consolidation. I'm sure inside the building they are all just Vision employees, I don't expect there is any stratification between Sonax and Autogeek, just as in Florida there weren't separate Autogeek vs. Autopia-CarCare employees, there were just PBMG employees (other than the public faces). I'm sure there are some marketing people dedicated to Sonax since that distibution model is a bit different than Autogeek.

It would be cool since they seem to be settled if they had cars and coffee and DetailFest like they did in Florida under Bob. I’m not far from Indy and that would be fun.

They might have room for a C & C, but I'm not sure Vision has the room for a big event like Detail Fest. If you remember what killed Detail Fest was when they built a building on the vacant lot next door, which had been used for parking and I think the car show. After that they moved Detail Fest to an event space, and I think that lacked the car show part; they only did that for 1 year I think before giving it up.

Maybe if you call over there they will give you a personal tour of the place, since you're local.

Well, this is confusing. As the OP noted, the Autopia-CarCare.com store seems to be gone, if you go there it redirects you to Autogeek.net. The OP got his ACC rewards points etc. transferred over.

So yesterday I got an email from...Autopia-CarCare.com. They were congratulating me on earning enough points to redeem a reward...even though I haven't bought anything from ACC in years (because I bought so much from ACC and AG in previous years I still have too much stuff). There was a link to "find out more about our rewards program"...which took me to a page at the ACC site for rewards members.

Was this some way for us to transfer our ACC rewards points to AG, without any explanation? None of the ACC store links from that rewards page worked, they all got a 404 error, so it's not like the site is back up.

Setec,

When I talked to customer service, they said they were sun setting the Autopia website. So to answer your question, Autopia is no longer a thing. All of your rewards points and gift cards should have automatically transferred over. If they have not, I would reach out and talk to someone. They will ask for the order number or email used to purchase said items.

I hope this helps & good luck.

Yes, this is not "downsizing", but a new business owner (capital venture group) doing business its own way after buying the assets of a company and keeping the business name of AutoGeek due to its established and recognized name with its detailing customers past, present, and future.
Not sure if this a correct synopsis and analysis of what has happened and is happening at AutoGeek, but just my personal observation and judgement.
And, yes, I am glad that they have chosen to keep and update the Autopia Forum. I still think it serves a purpose to contribute to and enhance AutoGeek's business profits and the new capital venture group's return-on-investment (ROI) as well as providing a social media forum for the detailing community to discuss all things related to detailing, PLUS "other" open-forum topics as well (within reason).

How long this forum continues to exists remains to be seen; it can only do that if it meets the first objective of the capital investment group mentioned above regardless of how important I think it is to the detailing community (AKA Autopia members and lurkers) at large.
It is also the reason I ask those who have bought detailing items from the "new" AutoGeek what that experience was like, both good and bad. I am most concerned about product availability, price compared to and/or price matching of competitors, order fulfillment accuracy, shipping cost or carrier problems, and customer service experiences concerning the order. I think I have made myself quite plain about the lack of direct CS calls to a LIVE person, but that is me. As Autopian All-Star Accumulator says, "Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV).......

I believe it's downsizing in that they deleted one internet store and most likely one shipping center and shifted product lines a bit I was under the impression that they thinned the product offerings some in their house brands.

Of course it's downsizing, I took umbrage at your "bloated organization" comment. How many employees did Autogeek have at its peak? 20? Maybe they have a few more now with the combined warehouse, but I'm not sure how that could be considered "bloated".

They definitely did thin down the house brands. They also have not been releasing much as far as new product from them also.

I can't remember them releasing any new products after PBMG was sold to the new owners.

I'm sorry to see those brands dying away. I've enjoyed using a few products from Wolfgang and Blackfire. I just noticed the Blackfire mat cleaner I've been using for a few years is gone now. Makes me wonder if they are simply selling off inventory and then those brands will be no more.

They changed Blackfire to more of a (commercial) car wash brand, but they still seem to sell most of the Blackfire products they did after the last revamp.
