New Normal
Had an oppurtunity to detail a Ford truck of a friend of mine Friday nite and Saturday morning. It was not a paint correction detail. Just to get some protection for the upcoming months prior to a repaint this summer.

Process
Wash: SSS and foamgun, two bucket rinse and sheepskin mitt
clay: jsut the hood and roof( for fun mostly)
polish: hood and roof recieved PP with PC speed four LC polishing pad
polish: the whole vehicle had PwS applied with PC speed 3 LC polishing pad
Sealant: Ex by hand using MF foam sponge pad

I recieved the PwS from Steve after emailing him numerous times until he finally got tired of me whining. LOL! I think this is a great product and plan on using this for most, if not all, my details this summer.

I recieved the PB's EX from Flatstick. Thanks to both Steve and Matt for there contributions. It was welcomed and appreciated.

real nice job CW..it looks nice and wet....I see you had to work your butt off on the wheels...to bad...stuff like that takes the fun out..again very nice job...

Also I may have an extra bottle of ex..or ex-p if you need some....I will look...if one is there and you want it let me know..I will ship it out...

Big Leegr, I read your reponse in the instant email notification. Was wondering "what the heck is he talking about?" Then I went to the thread and saw the picture alone and in context to your comment. LOL! Everything is bigger in Texas but it would take a flock of terydactyl's to make it look like that.:D
 
I have the Gilmore gun purchased from Steve at Poorboy's. I used strait SSS on settingtwo of the gun. Might use a little more product but it sure is slick when washing. I foam the entire vehicle. Then keep foaming each section as I wash. Rinse the mitt then foam again. It is more time consuming but I have a Little Detailer that enjoys the foamgun while helping me. I just have to do it this way. Soon he will tire of the *work*.

Am considering using a premix because of the reviews of others. Have not done it as of yet.
 
Nice job Kirk :) Ford Black looks really nice when done up, but I wish they had better control of the orange peel. :rolleyes:
