I used paste wax for the first time on my clients RX300. Meguair's paste wax not only went only easy but worked really well, much better than their liquid wax. $85 job + $40.00 tip, that rocked !!! Another well done job due to your comments, ideas, and pointers. thanks again!!! can't thank you all enough.

Which Meguiar's Paste Wax did you use?

I've been going the pricy route and using a coat of Klasse AIO topped by a coat of Platinum. I'm thinking about getting some lower priced polish, sealants, wax, etc. that still work extremelt well.

I used the clean wax, I think its cleaning wax, I'm not sure exactly what number it was, but $4.99 a jar, can't go wrong, good stuff !

I am not a professional detailer. New to this forum. But I do agree. After washing and waxing my car once a week for 3 weeks. I am amazed at how easy it is to clean my car. Meguires Gold Class / Clear Coat Paste Wax.:)

Personally, I prefer liquid wax for proffesional work. It can be applied quickly by orbital, and it is usually a lot easier to buff off, which saves a lot of time and effort.

Liquid is a lot faster for me too. Still, P21S and Souveran go on and off pretty quickly and are a nice option for your high end customers. McDonalds asks if you want fries with your order, I ask my customers if they want high end wax.

Yep. Me too. I use liquid wax for customer cars, and paste wax for myself. Most people don't care and wouldn't know the difference anyway.

When I buy products, whether it be wax, tire dressing, or whatever, I ask myself two things:

1) Is it a good product

2) Will it make me money (i.e. would a cheaper product get the job done just as well, or would the customer notice a difference and pay me more if I used a more expensive product, and will I use too much time and effort-- time=money)

It's all about the Benjamins.

...oh yeah, and nice, clean cars! :D
