Paste wax over PBL- setting up a test

My recent 4 way sealant test on my Frontier seemed to have sparked more of an interest for a separate test on my black challenger.

I’ve been itching to do this for a while so I figure I will discuss it a little bit before I start.

It was coated twice with PBL v1 a few months ago. I have since accumulated some very fine marring in the coating.
I have some black hole, midnight sun and some nattys black on there right now (I get bored sometimes and wax in the garage instead of watch tv- I don’t have cable).
I’m pretty sure I can just clean that off with my Optimum Paint prep

If I’m wrong please correct me

I am at least dedicating the trunk lid for this experiment but have the whole car to use…

So far here’s the lineup over the PBL v1
Dodo Juice Blue Velvet, Purple Haze, Double Wax, or Supernatural—which one should I use? I was thinking Purple Haze since it has montan in it VS
BF Midnight Sun paste VS
Synergy VS
Natty’s Black wax VS
BF Black Ice sample -thanks to Ron :)
What else should I consider adding?

That’s pretty much all my choices for pastes.

Should I polish down the PBL or do we want a test that sees how these fill micromarring and perform on top of a coating?

Probably about a week out on this test.
 
I'm just concerned that if I don't polish I might affect the beading and it will be hard to determine how long the product last because I would assume that once it failed the beading of the PBL would still be there obviously

Can u tell a difference?..one is synergy one is nattys black

They are both on top of the coating

See what i mean? I feel this is a very hard objective tes but I'm gonna try it anyways.

I know from experience with those two that the Natty's black fills the fine marring and the synergy doesn't.
 
I'd be interested to see how the new Natty's Black stands up to some of the other Natty's. Thanks for undertaking this project.

So then perhaps i should polish an area down. Perhaps taping off the line on the quarter panel on one side

See that line on the car? Makes some nice squared off areas

Or the roof to keep with a flat panel like the trunk lid. I have been considering taping off half of it to polish down and 50/50 withpbl v1/v2

There are so many options
