Pete

Back in the mid 80's, I started with Rally Creme Wax, Blue Coral, and Turtle Wax. It wasn't until the late 80's that my love for detailing exploded when I discovered Meg's #26 paste. I've been addicted to paste carnauba's ever since! For years, #26 was my "go to" wax. Then, I became an "Autopian" a few years ago and my addiction progressed to where it is today. I NEED THEREPY! (lol) I now possess a carnauba arsenal that will last me many lifetimes.

Trade Secret is a nice wax but it stains, this day and age they should make wax that doesn't stain I would put it in the same class as Souvern or P21S if the car is preped corectly

Thanks Alan.

I love Trade Secret, but I agree about the staining. It is truly a pleasure to apply and remove though.

Many who use Trade Secret agree that it is on par with Souveran, which I have never used myself.

Like other nubas, it does attract dust. I'm not using it on my silver car, but it looked fantastic on my red one!

I've heard that too, but in a side-by-side comparison I liked the Souveran better. IIRC I even sent the TS back to Irene for a refund (hard to remember, this was a long time ago).

early stage obsessed....

Zymol Titanium

Zymol Glasur

Victoria Concours

tried to buy some #16 today but it was out of stock so I'm stuck at 3 still, but have some sealants and my first ever liquid wax arrives Monday.....

now can add Collinite 476 and some liquid #26 :)

I've gotten away from waxes on my own car, but customers still love them, so I generally keep 2 beauty waxes and 1 durable wax on hand.

476s is my choice for durabiility, even over the fabled #16. I have S100 and 50/50 for my beauty waxes. Hoping to try PS, Natty's Red and Blackfire's paste wax next year.

not to answer for him but i have tried a lot of those waxes and like vintage the best. of course it is $$$.

Vintage !! Pin. Souveran 2nd. Worlds best and Blackfire Wet Diamond now BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Ivory are sleepers. Meg. #26 or #16, Natty's Blue, and Red, good waxes also. For the money Natty's Blue is tops!

But it's all in the prep that makes a wax look great. Be sure you have prep your car as needed. When changing waxes I use Men. PO85RD with a red pad. This gently removes all previous waxes and leaves a beautiful finish for a LSP. But you car my require a little more prep to remove swirl marks, oxidation, etc.

The use of glazes really adds to the looks of the finished product. Used under a wax can make a big difference. RMG Red Moose Glaze comes to mind and Meg. #3, 5, 7, 81 also.
