I have 476S (I actually have 885) for family members' cars and Pete's 53 for beauty but I haven't been very pleased with Pete's 53 so 476S is on my car at the moment.

I started off with liquid waxes but when I tried some pastes out I really liked them. It just feels like I'm not wasting as much product.

My next purchase is S100, #26, or CMW. I'm leaning real hard on CMW right now since Scottwax endorses it so.

I would go with S100 or 26 way before CMW IMO. That wax does nothing for me , shine , depth or durability. Although Everett is one of my fav. guys to talk to , just dont like the products.

i have :

zymol destiny

zymol concourse

zymol carbon

pinnacle souveran

p21

Huzzah. More confusion!

I've been trying to do research by looking at pictures but as been discussed so damn much, pictures don't tell the whole story. So what I've been trying to do is look at the paint type and compare to the waxes used. My paint is black pearlescent and I don't like what Pete's 53 did to it. It was layered over a glaze and sealant but it still didn't look deep. It looked wet as no other imo but didn't do it for me.

So I'm trying to correlate the waxes that people are matching to paint types but it's all so confusing!

Even though I don't really use pastes much anymore, I've still got nearly a full tin of Blitz (anyone remember this one??...used to be a forum fav years ago!), as well as 2-3 jars of S100, Collinite 476, various old Meguiar's, and maybe a few others I can't recall at the moment....been a long time since I've dug through the stuff I don't use much anymore!

Mike,

No DG Paste wax?

Nope, don't have that one...and not one I'd recommend. It's not one of their finer offerings IMO...not really sure why they even bother with it...I guess they still have a few old skool customers out there that insist that paste is all they will use....

I would imagine that their sales volume of the DG paste are rather poor, although I could be wrong....I've never even once spoken to the guys at DG, so I've never really asked either. :D

I tried it last year and would agree 100%, but it is hard to knock a company that has so many good products. As a paste wax junkie, I wish they would work a new one out soon.

Yeah, I'm positive they could easily come up with one that could rival the best out there for looks (not necessarily durability), but I gotta think that it really wouldn't be worth their investment in time and money due to low sales.... Of course, if they put out a truly rockin (paste) product at a great price (like AW for instance), I gotta think on the other hand that it would be well received with the community as a easily available alternative to the boutique waxes at a good price point. I guess from that angle, it could be a real sales driver....something that gives the looks of Souveran at, say 1/4 or 1/5 the price, and I'd jump on it too!

I really do like the wax...Its a shame because I will stay away from CMA from now on, so I will save what I have.

CMA are the only Blackfire suppliers in the US? I can get Blackfire's wax easily in Canada. The problem is I can't get Werkstatt products in Canada, like you can in the US.....if only there was a way for us to help each other out.

Curious, why does CMA get alot of hate lately?

Currently I have on hand:

Mother's California Gold Original

S100

Pinnacle Souveran

I don't know that I'll replace these when I use them up.

I mostly use Werkstatt/Duragloss these days and only use a carnuaba occasionally on a whim just for the heck of it because I enjoy the application/removal and because I love the way carnuabas look when they are fresh.

Overall though, I prefer the durability of a good sealant.

I have four that I use regularly and some also-rans that usually just sit on the shelf.

The regulars are: #16, 476S, 3M Showcar Paste (old version), and Souveran. Oh, and I also still use the ancient jar of BHMA/Zymol paste wax for interior wood (still good after over 20 years with a cracked lid).

I wanna get a tin of ProWax's paste just for nostalgia-effects some time (used it for a while in the '70s), and... I'm debating the purchase of some Vintage :o

P21s, Collinite 476, 3M Perfect-It Showcar Paste, and I have a can of Mother's Paste Wax sitting on the shelf.

I like topping P21s or Collinite 476 (for the winter) onto Klasse AIO. I just got the 3M paste recently for a customer who requested it. I might try to put the 3M on top of the Klasse as well to see what it looks like. We'll see.

I would like to try Pinnacle Souveran, however I wish I could somehow get a sample first. I heard that it goes great on black, but it is kind of expensive for me to just try. Is there a way that I can get a sample somewhere for cheap?

Whew..I am a carnuaba guy....This list is kinda long. I have enough to last a lifetime but I like switching back and forth between them.
