Pantera basic detail

This was a referral from a forum member. I love these cars and was fun working on this one. Owner didn't want a paint correction detail, just a wash, clay, and sealant in prep for a car show on VERY short notice. Later this spring a full correction will be carried out. The tires would take some time as they had many years of old dressing built up but were looking much better as did the rest of the car at the end of the day.

Nothing too crazy, just a cool ride looking a bit better now.

Years of tire dressing on top of tire dressing made for some nasty tires. Stoner's Tarminator, cotton towels (thrown away after), and some good elbow grease helped get it looking proper again.

Two coats of Chemical Guys Blacklight was applied

Finished pics. Again, not a correction detail, so there are still plenty of swirls. Next time around the owner wants to remove them.

Thanks for looking!

Such a gorgeous car!

Back in the day, a friend of mine had a 1972 Pantera in a frosted green color. I'd never seen a Pantera or for that mater even heard of one. His parents owned a furniture store so they were pretty well off and could afford cars like this.

If memory serves me correctly the Pantera was a mid engine design similar to the Ford GT's produced in 2005 to 2010. The engine was a 351 Cleveland which was a top performer in those days and produced well over 400hp...

Thanks for the beautiful restore, writeup and photos!! :bigups

Excellent work (accounting for the limitations of the detail)!! Great choice with Blacklight as well.

Looks good! Pantera's are fun to work on. If sorted properly they are a real force on the track.

Looking forward to the correction!

Awesome work Jeff! I have a client with one of these that he has me pick up from his house. Cool car but I HATE driving them as I have a size 13foot and the peddles are tiny and really close together. Agian great work!
