Painting Carbon Fiber (Auto Painters please)

Hey guys, I've got a guy who asked me today if his carbon fiber trunk can be painted. i've never personally painted any c/f, but looking to help him out. I'm sure it can't be much different than regular paint. I'm sure the prep process would be different though, which is what I was curious about (What grit to sand the c/f with without harming it)



Any help would be appreciated!



Btw, trunk is currently gray, and it is going to be painted jet black.
