My luck is your hood is the only hood in JD's history that isnt fully colored lol.

:)

Btw, what do you think of my before/after above pics? Acceptable tractor shineeee correction?

I got a response back from JD confirming the above

The GT275 comes standard with the Xenoy plastic hood with molded-in color. The hood is not painted.

BTW, if you used a plastic specific polish, such as plastic-X, would you get better results than a paint polish like SIP?

SIP would do better. Plastic X does not have much abrasive in it IMO.

BTW- The pics look awesome!

Thanks - seems like SIP is a great all-around product. It's kicked *** on gelcoat, paint, clearcoat, and now plastic, hehe.

Thee polishes I can comment on with regard to use on plastics:

Hi-Temp Heavy Cut/357- Fairly aggressive without causing issues IME.

1Z PP- I really like 1Z Paint Polish on plastics. Not aggressive enough for serious stuff, but it's still very good when used within it's capabilities and it'll finish out great almost all the time. No staining IME.

M205- I would *NOT* use M205 as once the oils dissipate (which will take a few days) things'll look very, very bad.
