Paint Smudge

My dad put some turtle wax brand rubbing compound for scratch and stain removal on my paint from where we debadged my car. Ever since, there has been a smudge in the paint where he applied it. I have waxed and washed it numorous times. Can anyone help??

Seems like it is probably hazing from the abrasive compound. Try a lighter polish to remove it. If the lighter polish doesnt work then try some meguiars scratch x or colorx.

guys i just put color X and scratch X on it and nothing happens.ive looked closer at it and it seems to be like thousands of thin scratches. im so upset right now...if anyone can help please do.

Go to your favorite body shop and see if they can remove the hazing with a rotary buffer.
What you are describing probably can be removed by hand or with a random orbital polisher, but may require considerable effort.
A professional with a rotary will correct the paint in a very short time.

Two things are needed here:
1. The heat and the power of the rotary.
2. The expertise of the professional using it.

thats hazing for you! dont worry! keep hitting it with scratchx with a foam applicator. use enough elbow grease and repeat. u will definately get that out. i had the same problem a long time ago. all u need is about an hour.
