Paint lines - see pics

I am looking at a used 2008 Nissan Maxima and I have discovered the following markings/lines in the paint. I took Poorboy's PwC to it with a MF and nothing happened. It appears that these lines are under the paint. Any suggestions - maybe a repaint?

From the pics they look like light scratches from a dirty washmitt or a towel. I think it needs an abrasive polish with a machine to get them out. PwC has no abrasives that's why probably did nothing.

this is possible and they may be deeper than they look..if they were made with something that was very sharp, they could be deep into the clear and not just surface scratches ... from the pictures :hmmm: it doesn't look like a repaint, but check the edges of the panels and see if they are smooth are rough ...if they are rough, then it's a repaint..smooth= factory :)

Hard to tell from a picture but it doesn't look like sanding marks in primer/bondo. That's what you don't want to find out and is a fairly common problem on repaints. I would try going at it with a moderate polish and medium aggressive pad. It has some orange peel and this won't do anything but help that situation as well.

Thanks guys for responses - I spoke with the dealer and told him that I would not be interested in the car unless they could polish these lines out. Hopefully I did not open up a can of worms when I told him that. Oh I can only see what the car might look like after they try to remove these markings/lines? Will keep you updated.
