Paint Cleaners??

At one time I used Megs auto scrub as a cleaner but it was before I was claying cars for my details.....I'm wondering what the purpose is if you clay the car to start with why you would use a cleaner or what the benefits would be
 
I think they are most beneficial for removing oxidation and staining in curtain areas. Also paint cleaners like meguiars #4 heavy cut cleaner work excellent on polishing windows.

Of course you could always use any polish/compound over oxidation to remove it but sometimes a paint cleaner is nice to start with.
