Pads for a rotary

7 1/2 inch is the best size to have for a rotary, right? It seems like the 8 1/2 inch pads offered at properautocare.com are too big and can create too much heat on the corners of the pads, especially on the wool. Even 1100 RPM with a 8 1/2 inch pad sounds dangerous around the corners. I need to order some rotary pads, but unless you advise otherwise, I don't want to order 8 1/2 inch pads from properautocare.com. Where can I get 7 1/2 inch pads at a good price?

I use 8 inch pads and have never burned an edge.

I have a different problem with CMA rotary pads. They are variable contact, you don't want that with a rotary. The "VC" means that you need to put pressure on them for the pad to become "flat". That's another big no no with a rotary. I just don't like the idea of a variable contact pad with a rotary.
