Pads Cleaning Question

I had the velcro backing start to peel off my black LC pad after repeated washings. I've had good luck gluing it back with Goop glue. I also used Charlie's soap in very warm water. Perhaps it's because this pad is softer than polishing pads, and is not as durable.
