Pad?

Yeah, way too much shine. Could cause blinding.

Could you tone the shine down next time. Jeesh! Some people. Always trying to outshine the other guy!!!! :D

gti- re stirring up dust or dirt.

I usually wash my cars in my driveway, which is concrete. So, by the time I blow dry the car (!), the driveway has been cleaned and rinsed by the prior washing of the car.

I have blow dried cars on grass many times without problem. I think I could even blow dry a car on dirt, I'd just have to skip blowing the lower parts of the lower panels of the car. The velocity of the air drops off rapidly with distance, so there is no real problem, particularly if you do not blow directly into the grass or dirt.

carguy makes a good point: you have to make sure to not bang the car with the blower. But, that same principle applies to any hard object we have around the car.

There are many legitimate views on drying. My own experience is that nothing I have tried is as easy, safe, thorough, or as quick as the blower.

What's the difference in the 5.5" flat LC pads that PAC sells with the blue stripe and the reg lc flat pads that can be had elsewhere? I am looking for new pads to use with my PC and KBM I was lookin at PAC but also found another site that sells 6 flat lc pads that would save me a lil $$ but beforew I order I would like to see if there is any difference.

The Hi-Gloss pads have are the dual foam layer of pads, which feature a second layer of 'instant rebound' foam. This allows the pads to contour over the surface evenly and absorbs any angling of the backing plate. Their usefulness on a DA is somewhat limited (some people love them, so people don't feel much a difference), but on a rotary they are great.

Our pads also feature rounded edges (the lip is rolled) which is a great feature that adds a small margin of safety with a DA and makes it easier to get a truly level surface with a rotary.

The backing material of our pads is also back cut and raised, which reduces the risk of backing plate interference making it possible to use larger/correctly sized backing plates.

The dual foam feature is exclusive to our pads, but you may find other styles that also have rounded lips and/or back cut mounting areas. I would personally only get pads that had both of these features, although it does add (much) more to the cost of manufacturing.
