Pad choices!

I just got a PC and am vey interested in putting it to use. I am trying to figure out which pads I need to get started. I did a search on different pads available and my head is spinning.

So let me give you an idea of what I need and what I am thinking about ordering First off let me say I have very light swirls on my car. My car is 3 years old and cared for very nicely, so I don't think I need a pad with a lot of cut to it.

I was thinking of ordering some LC pads to get started with. 1 orange, 1 white, 1 gray/black, 1 5" back pate and then a coupe of MF bonnets to aid in removal of wax. Does this sound like a good idea? Should I order a yellow or blue pad even though I don't think I need them? I was thinking I could use the orange/yellow to remove swirls and the gray to apply wax and an orange with bonnet to remove. Will that work?

Also I looked at the edge 2K system but it kind of seems like overkill. Should I consider them? Seems like a nice system, but not sure it would be cost effective. I know this is all noob stuff but I am getting confused and don't want to spend 90 dollars and not get the stuff I need. Any help is appreciated guys.

I use Edge exclusively now. They are worth the money, its two pads in one. I have about 20 of them in total now.

I am now also only using 6" wave and flat pads on bothe the rotary and the PC. I have a few 8" but like the control of the smaller pad. I cant wait for the 4" to arrive.

I have a car with SOFT black paint, I use a 6" BLUE WAVE and Menzerna FPII or Optimum Car Polish to to do light polishing. A Green pad is too hard for this paint. 10 months old.

I have a white car with hard paint, I use a 6" GREEN WAVE and Optimum Compound then move to the softer set up. 9 months old.

I have a grey car with hard paint, I use a 6" BLUE WAVE and Menzerna FPII. Its only 4 months old.

Okay so your saying I should go with the edge pads. Now if I do will I have any use for the white pad (ultra fine finishing pad)? I'm thinking orange and blue for sure and an adapter. Possibly the white if needed. Also can you use the bonnets with the edge pads? Or do I need to get a seperate backing pate?
