Pad centering

We all know that it is important to keep the pads centered.
The larger LC pads have a "pocket" that the BP will sit in, and the older pads had a hole in the center, that I could line up with. With the new pads that I have picked up it has neither and i find myself spending a bit of time getting things right.
So with the exception of the Edge system, what tricks do people use to keep their pads centered.

I am not sure there is any sure fire way to make sure your pad is centered, I guess thats why the edge system is so nice. I try to just place mine as close to center as possible. But your right it can be a pain... I wish all of the pads had the pocket that the backing plate could sit in.

It really depends on the pads .. my older Lake Country 7.5" pads have a perfect fit and a molded backing that fit perfectly every time in my 6" backing plate my new CCS pads fit the same way :)

My 7.5" pads had the molded back as well but my new 6.5" pads don't have that :(

The black felt they use makes it difficult to mark points where I could line up the bp.

I'd say figure out where they are centered and use a white paint marker to set it ;)
