Pad Brands Information for RO/DA

I thought id gather, confirm or correct any information on variations in pad brand dimensions for 5"/125mm-6"/150mm random orbital/dual action polishers to help ppl like myself on deciding what brand of pad to get. :wavey



Meguiars W8006;

-6.5" foam

-6" velcro

-suitable for 6" backing with no clearance but good for 5" backing

-offers foam clearance





Meguiars W8000;

-8" foam

-unsure on velcro size plz advise

-suitable for 6" backing

-offers foam clearance





Sonus SFX;

-6" foam

-a little over 6" velcro

-suitable for a 6" backing with little clearance but good for a 5" backing

-no foam edge





Sonus DAS;

-unsure on foam size plz advise

-5" velcro

-indentation suited for 5" backing

-offers foam edge





Propel;

-7" foam

-6" velcro

-suitable for 6" backing with no clearance but good for 5" backing

-offers foam clearance





Edge Hook & Loop (not pc edge 2000);

-6" foam

-unsure about velcro size plz advise

-unsure about suitable backing plates plz advise

-no foam edge





Country Lake/Wolfgang ETS;

-6.5" foam

-6" velcro

-suitable for 6" backing with no clearance but good for 5" backing

-offers foam clearance





Country Lake/Wolfgang ETS Curved Edge;

-7.5" foam

-unsure about velcro size please advise

-indentation suitable for 5-6" backing

-offers foam edge



If theres something there thats wrong or missing please correct me or help complete the list, thanks. :2thumbs:



Which brand do u use and which would u recommend/not recommend?
 
Just in case any1 is wondering, i reposted this thread with updates and deleted the other one...then i descovered the edit button. :wall

Thanks 4 all the input, and yeah, i only included the edge hook and loop coz i got a backing plate but if ya want, i could put it in aswell.

Any of u guys who have any of these pads, and have measured their exact dimensions eg: the velcro diameters etc, would be great to hear from u so we can complete the missing spaces.
