PAC and TID Status?

Thankyou Jack for providing such a great service and forum . Im sad to see it go but will always be grateful to you !

Im so sorry for the tough times youve had to endure in closing but will never see it as a failure. Its a failure of the economy and nothing more .

Being successful in life isnt just about money ,its also about having a positive effect on peoples lives and helping people learn and grow ,contributing to their happiness and joy . I know you have mine and so many many others more than you may ever know! IMO this is more important than money or being financially successful can ever be !

Know that youve had positive affects on thousands of people that have come to your forum !

God bless you Jack and where ever you go I wish you peace and happiness .

Can't be said any better.

Thomas Edison had a positive outlook on those things that hadn't worked out the way he'd hoped or planned:

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work".

All the best in your future endeavors, Jack. You're a class act! :notworthy:

Best of Luck Jack, and thank you for TID and PAC. If it weren't for TID, I'd still be running my 10" pep boys buffer with Turtle wax trying to remove scratches! This forum was so helpful. i really appreciate it. \m/

No, that's tainted thinking.

The vendors don't offer the low rate shipping on everyday purchases. It's a promotion. Low shipping rate promotions increase sales which increases the profits to pay for shipping. Gross profits are about 50% on most detail supplies. Boutique products are about 75% gross profits.

I'm sure DI and DD will continue to supply their customers for many years into the future.

Have you ever taken advantage of their offers? How many of you are guilty of burying PAC by taking advantage of its low shipping costs? FREE SHIPPING with $49 or more? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

How many promotions are offered one after the other? Combine the current promotion with other promotions, wholesale orders, forum discount codes, price matching, giveaways, etc and you aren't making squat in the long run. Especially when you consider the cost of doing business which includes returns, lost packages, advertising, supplies, unforeseen costs and a bunch of other things.

How would you know what the profit margin is on detailing supplies? Only a retailer would know that.......

At the end of the day the demise of PAC and other companies is not the customers fault for taking advantage of a great deal. We don't even know if that had anything to due with PAC's closing.

The companies that continue to whore out the industry have to maintain a large amount of sales to sustain themselves, think about it. In today's economy do you think people are making large purchases like they may have in the past?

Profit, is not a dirty word.

I'll let you ponder that.:-?

It certainly isn't. Now you're getting it.

I certainly took advantage of PACs great deals/promotions but if I knew they were in trouble financially I would have paid full price thats for sure!!:(
I wish we had a clue what was going on .

My local detail supply offers discounts and I never use them because I know they are hurting too.

No pondering required, I knew you were Rich Light from Gloss-It a long time ago.

I have no idea what or who you are talking about, and neither do you.

Fortunately, your mis-information and errant assumptions will be buried with this thread.
