P21S vs Liquid Souveran

Hi Anthony,

I appreciate all the testing you have done and are going to do in the future. Protection on my vehicle is very important to me as well, regardless of what time of year.

From my research here on Autopia and personal experience, it's very hard to beat Souveran paste and Zaino.

That is exactly why I am doing these tests. Its easy to say that Zaiino is the best or that Souveran is the best. I'm trying to prove that there are some products that are better than others at specific things. Obviously there are things that Zaino or Klasse or even Souveran may be better at than P21S. My goal is simply to find out which product is the best at keeping your car cleaner in the winter. Its not going to be the Grand Champion of Products kind of test. I'm just testing them on one specific thing. Durability and cost and appearance and all that isn't even a factor. I just want to know which one works better in the winter for keeping your car clean.

And by the way, from my test last year it wasn't hard to beat Souveran paste in this catagory at all. That's why it is excluded from this year's test.

Hmm, do you think it's possible that the P21S was dead, and as a result, didn't attract as much slush as the LS? That's why I like using a control section with just prepped paint to compare.

I've noticed the same thing with S100/P21S as Anthony. Less dust and the car looks cleaner even after driving in rain and my car is burgandy so the dirt (or lack of dirt) is very noticable.

Did you know any nut-case could find out where you live just by submitting a request form at any DMV or local tag office in the US?

I'm really surprised that's not protected information, especially in this day and age (identity thefts, etc.). I don't think you can get that info here in Canada.

I'm not sure because its been many years since I've pulled histories & lien checks on cars I was looking at buying. I seem to recall: previous owners' names -- yes, addresses etc. -- no.

Here's some interesting results.... I washed the car on Thanksgiving and its been basically dry ever since. It has been attracting a lot of that winter dust that is so nasty. I knew the car would look absolutely awful as soon as it got wet. Saturday morning it sort of sprinkled outside. When I went out to get the mail I nearly lost my breakfast. The car looked TERRIBLE!!! Its a white car and this kind of stuff just really shows up. Just imagine what your car looks like when its had a weeks worth of dust on it and then it rained for about 5 minutes. Just awful.

I wanted to go out and wash it but I knew it was going to snow Saturday night anyway. So I just left it. Saturday night it rained like a mofo. Sunday morning it was still raining. By Sunday afternoon when I went out to see if there was any difference between the two sides i was surprised to see that the whole car was totally clean! Either that was one hell of a rain storm or P21S and LS react the same when it rains. The difference seems to be that LS holds slush while P21S lets it slide off. I guess P21S is a little slicker but they still rinse clean in a rain storm.

That may not seem like much, but consider that it was a full week of road dust and winter dust on the car. It had rained briefly the day before probably causing the dirt to turn to mud and stick even more to the car. Then after a heavy rainstorm it all washed clean. I'd say that is pretty impressive. I just thought I would report it since it was something new. Maybe the car would have washed clean no matter what wax I used. More testing is needed to determine that. Its going to be tough to simulate what happened, but I'm sure I can come up with something. :bigups

This is great! Keep going!! Go P21S!!

This is actually really cool, cuz i'm dealing with the same crap right now, except without all of the resources to do the tests.. I'm just working with some Klasse twins and S100, and the black seems to be doing ok, although the road salt and dirt have turned my car into a greyish/brown mess at the moment..

Interesting review, cheers :xyxthumbs

My car seems to stay very clean with S100 even after rain, mud etc.

Was planning to put some Blitz on this weekend but may leave it if S100 does a better job!
