P21S or Souveran?

I've decided to go with Klasse twins as the initial sealant/glaze, but what should I top that with. I've heard P21S and I've heard Souveran. The GURU REPORT rated P21S higher then Souveran. With $$$ involved, I'd say P21S.

thoughts please...

You might want to check out the Products Reviews section. A really good comparison was done by Jngrbrdman I believe. There was some talk that P21S seemed to bead water alittle better and seemed to have alittle more durability.

http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=16773 There is the review I did on them. I would say that they are very similar in appearance and ease of application. I guess it just depends on the color of the vehicle and the perception of the person evaluating it. The difference after a rain storm is what sells me on P21S. Your car pretty much rinses clean when it gets wet. You can read the review for more about that. I think P21S is definatly a good wax though. Nothing wrong with Souveran if you have the extra money to buy it. P21S would rate the same as Souveran on a scale of 1 to 10 though. At least an 8 or 9.

Just finished reading your comparison... good stuff. You've swayed me towards P21S. Although I'm not concerned about dirt and rain repelling because old "Blue Thunder" only comes out in nice weather. But dust is a big problem. That car is a magnet. Does P21S help of rims?

Here's a pic of Blue Thunder...

Do you think the "silverish" hue P21S gives off would work with this color.

What does it take to get a 10 from you? ;)

I'm leaving myself open so I don't have to redefine all my ratings later on. ;) Maybe on my death bed I'll finally post my finalized ratings since I won't have anything else to compare it to. lol By leaving myself a notch or two above what I think is the best right now I am just admitting that there might be something better. Not many things get a 10 in my book because I can always think of ways to improve it and I'm sure someone else out there is working on just that. :xyxthumbs

C5Mike: I wouldn't worry about putting P21S on wheels. The environment is too harsh down there for it to last long. Carnauba breaks up at moderatly low temperatures and would certianly not last long on your wheels. You may want to consider some Klasse for something like that. Klasse is a sealant that lasts a lot longer. I use it on my own wheels. It makes them much easier to clean.

While no product is actually going to repel all the dust, P21S at least makes it easier to get it off. I believe that it is either less oily or creates less static than Souveran. The dust isn't as bad and it does come off easier with P21S. Dust is just something that plaques us all. Someday someone will make a product that will repel it. I am eagerly waiting. lol

That is an awesome car, by the way. :up :up

C5Mike,

I would say with your sweet blue Vette the P21S would work better to achieve a reflective glow while the Souveran would create more of a deep glow. Both are great waxes. I personally would try the P21S first since it is the least expensive.

Do some searches on both of these waxes to learn more.

By the way, nice pic of the skyline and your Vette!

Cheers,

I'd have to agree with AMP. S100/P21S gives a slightly silvery glow to dark colors. It would look fantastic on your blue Vette. In fact, I detailed one the other day, using SEPC and S100 Paste Wax. I should have pics up by Monday.
