P21S or Chemical Guys Sticky Gel?

Hi, I have a bmw that just is dusty as hell, and for the past 2 years have been using the chemical guys degreaser diluted 1:2

Extreme Orange All Purpose Cleaner Degreasers

but it still requires quite a bit of scrubbing and doesn't get quite all the nook and crannies of my 166 bmw rims. Also it just seems so corosive, although i haven't seen damage to my rims. On my Audi, the chrome lip will get dulled out if i leave this on for more than a few seconds, then i have to polish them out.

So I always read about P21S but man it seems so expensive for a wheel cleaner.

Can anyone compare to the chemical guys sticky gel?

Or should I just stick to the P21S. I just want something that is almost no scrubbing since I have a bad back :)

If P21S , where should i buy it?

thanks

I would go with the P21S, i have heard that it compares with DP Gel wheel cleaner(that's what i use, not much agitation is required).

Hi!

IME P21s Green will require some agitation to keep get the wheels clean. The red one which i reviewed (search my name) seems to be the best of the P21s bunch, but i dont know if its on sale in the USA yet.

Personally i find that i only need a dedicated wheel cleaner 3-4 times a year. I seal mine with Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection and they wash very easily with shampoo and a mitt!

I do the same with DP, i seal my wheels with the wheel glaze. That may be what the OP should do, that'll allow less need of the gel over the course of the year, less strain on the back too.

I never liked the CG wheel cleaner - it dried up way too fast so I ended up using a ton of it just to get enough dwell time

Can anyone tell me the difference between the P21S special performance gel vs. the P21S gel ?

Amazon.com: p21s gel: Automotive

I figure I'd just buy the big gallon jug. btw, where's the best place to buy? And should I also buy the smlaller bottle as a sprayer and refill? or just buy the big gallon and add their sprayer?

wanted to take advantage of 15% labor day at autogeek but wondering what the difference of the "special performance gel" which is in the gold lettering, vs. the regular gel. The large 5L canister of gel is the regular, blue label, yet the smaller 1000ml is the gold label. anyone?

P21S WHEEL CLEANERS gel and regular

The bigger bottles just have a different color. All the P21s "Gel's" are the same here in the U.S. Just make sure you get the Gel formula, and you will be good to go. :xyxthumbs

I would just head over to your nearest Harley dealer and pick up S100, EXACTLY the same thing as p21s at half the price.

don't let the cheaper price fool you, it is EXACTLY the same formula gel

My dad rides a Victory, and noticed that he had a bottle of S100 in his cabinet. I saw it, and immediately thought it looked like the lettering they use for P21S, and thought it might be the same company. Looks like I was right. I'd have to assume you could get S100 at almost any motorcycle shop.

thanks guys.. i ordered the 1000ml, and will try it out. if i love it, i'll find the s100 at a local shop.. anyone carry it online?

but why does amazon carry a gold one and a blue label one in 5L? yet autogeek only carries the blue label?

Amazon.com: P21 Gel Wheel Cleaner 5 liter Canister: Automotive

Amazon.com: P21S Gel Special Performance Wheel Cleaner Refill, 5 Liter Jug: Automotive

yet amazon labels the blue as special performance and autogeek labels gold as special performance.. so confused..
