P21S gel is great

I have not used this stuff in about 3 years due to pricepoint. I tend to wash my wheels every 2 days when it's warm and when it's winter....I'll get to it as the weather allows.

It has been 2 weeks since I last washed the wheels. Not alot of grime but it was raining at some point, so the wheels showed the typical rain water grime on it. I ordered some P21S gel on some sales that was floating around recently.

Rinsed the wheels, spayed down the wheels with P21s gel and used my SS mitt to just spread the product inside and around the spokes. Did all 4 wheels and proceeded to do the interior of my vehicle. Went back to the wheels and used my sponge and went agitating away. Left the product alone and proceeded to vac the interior. Scrubbed the wheelwells with some APC 4:1. I then proceeded to washing the car and just left the wheels alone.

Then I rinsed the wheels thoroughly.

I need to say, wheel cleaners do indeed get the wheels cleaner even if you meticulously clean the wheels. I guess the acidic level is better for brake dust instead of using car wash or even citri gel cut 1:1. The wheels are cleaner, the lugholes are clean whereas prior, I would scrub with the mitt and get them decent and brake dust was encapsulated into the suds and I'm not even sure where the brake dust was coming from ;-)

P21S gel deserves a :2thumbs:

that's interesting.. I love P21S gel as well, but find it only works well on wheels that are maintainted. I would never used it on wheels that are covered with baked on brake dust, or the inside of rims. It won't even break down that crap a lil. You're wheels must have been in pretty good shape, since you clean them so often. But besides that it's def a good product, and very safe to use on expensive wheels.

It's a fantastic product, albeit expensive. But you get what you pay for. When a customer comes in with expensive wheels, it's the only product I trust.

I have the stuff and love it but it does seem like i use a little more then most people do and i dont even think im using enouph (to me atleast). Do you guys dilute it at all? And also for those wheels that are EXTREMELY bad with so much brake dust buildup the wheels are black in some areas what do you guys use? I was thinking maybe megs apc diluted 4:1 or 2:1

I've used the p21s gel and loved it as well. I didn't have a problem getting the dust off the barrel, and I wouldn't say mine are in great shape. From the directions though it would seem better if I removed my wheels and let the gel sit on them for a while before hosing off.

I needed a safe wheel cleaner for me wheels. I've always used the citri-gel or car wash and while the wheels looked clean, I just had this feeling they weren't getting as clean as they should.

Kinda how you can take APC 4:1 to a painted/clearcoated wheel and it will just emulsify with GUNK. This was the same experience I got with the P21S gel today. It emulsified brake dust from places I was not getting..with my usual wash routine.

There are cheaper alternatives out there but for wheels that need that special wash....P21S is worth every penny.
