Hi guys I am new to this forum. I am ready to detail my 2004 m3. I have read thru several threads. this is waht i am planning. start out with mothers clay bar process. aio, then sg, and finish it of p21 s wax. use pinnacle crystal mist after washes. Is there going to be an issue with p21 s over SG. any comments would be great

killerM3- Welcome to Autopia! Depsite recent threads that cautioned against putting carnaubas over SG, I'm sure the P21S will work fine over it. I haven't used that exact combo, but I have put Meg's #16 over SG and it (#16) and P21S are not all that different.
If you don't alread have the P21S, I'm always trying to convince people to try the #16 instead...
Oh, and I'd be pleasantly surprised if you don't need some kind of polish in between the clay and the AIO. Almost EVERY car has some marring that needs taken care of.

AIO is a polish. But it's not strong enough to remove swirl marks. IF, your paint has some marring, the best time to remove them would be during this detail that you have planned. And to remove the marring you will need a stronger poilsh than AIO. Something like megs DACP, 3M FI2 (my personal fav), plus many others to choose from.
