Oxidation?

I never really put an lsp on my chrome license plate frame. Its been that way for all winter. Now it has these white/green spots on them. Is this oxidation? I plan on trying to clay it first (doubt that will do anything). Then try maybe KAIO (chemical reaction help?) Please advise. Thanks!

The chrome trim ring is plated over the plastic frame. It may be pitted by debris or the chrome plating may be compromised, or it may have embedded debris. Try a cleaner wax, clay to see it anything changes. If not, then the plating may be failing.

Not trying to threadjack but I have a similiar problem, wondering if it's oxidation or not and if it can be fixed, there's couding / hazing in 2 sections of my paint and wondering if I can buff it out.

thanks

Hopefully someone can answer,

and yes. I know I need a wash / buff, waiting on being able to get a cashflow in so I can purchase ONR since my parking spot was taken from me and hose can't reach.

The frame is stated to be chrome plated cast brass. Its the Elite Series frames that are solid and not plastic.

Not meaning to threadjack but I think I might have either clearcoat damage or oxidation, hoping I can buff this out but we'll see. Sigh @ hazy / cloudyness

I know it needs a wash, my parkingspot / hose accessability was taken from me and I need some cash to purchase ONR

Eh, Shadow refused to post photos and I felt I had the same problem, rather than clutter the forum with 2 oxidation threads might as well ask on my paint as well.
