overspray question

Ok I just bought a 03 tahoe with green metallic paint. I noticed that there is tons of white overspray all over the vehicle and it feels like sand paper its so bad. I know clay will remove it but is there anything that will be faster or easier? The clay I have is the mothers yellow clay

Clay is really the safest but I don't think that your mothers is going to be strong enough....you might want to look at purple clay available online...its designed to take heavy duty OS off...Another safe way is mineral spirits available at any home depot store....use this at the wash stage....wet paint....with a rag wipe the area with the MS and let is soak a bit...wash off with soapy water and then rinse that should lift the OS...then follow that with the Mother clay that you have to finish...lastly a paint cleaner or chemical based polish would be my choice

These guys are right.
If clay doesn't do it, there are more aggressive measures, but I've billed $700 for overspray before. It can take some time.

I agree with Jay paint thinner can be used but it takes a special process....straight mineral spirits is the trick

ok i tried clay and man it took along time on half the hood so im gonna wait to get some purple clay like mentioned earlier. and ill take the other stuff back.

I know that Adams polishes carries the purple clay, I am sure that there are other places as well.
I haven't tried the 4Star or DP clays so I am not to sure how aggressive the they are you could try checking with Troy, I'm sure he could say.
That plus you can take advantage of 10% DC member discount when ordering from him ;)
