Hello everyone! Well one of the body men sprayed this corvette top with primer and now I am required to get it off.

I'm thinking about using 75%water to 25%APC and lighty scrub the corvette top.

Does anyone else know of a better way to get this oversprayed primer out of the corvetter convertible top??

Thanks DC member! :yourrock

Car Brite makes a product called Take Off that is a dilutable prep solvent. If the APC don't work, Take Off will. The Car Brite rep should be able to guide you as to what dilution ratio to use. Just don't try it straight lol.

This is one that I've never done, the APC and brush sounds good but on material I would be careful how stiff the brush is...that material is pretty soft and mars easy in my experience

please keep us informed as to what works

Don't waste your time have them replace the top..

I'm sure it's black and it will fade...

I have jeans that I have wash about a 100 times now and till there are place pant just wants to stick..

I would walk away

i have to agree here. Accidents do happen and that's why we carry insurance. If you use an APC or Solvent the top will show signs of fade and it will only cause you more aggravation further down the line, not to mention the time and effort you will have to put in. Also another consideration is the APC / and or Solvent that will be dripping or splattering while scrubbing ... again this is one I'd chalk up to experience and make the customer happy by replacing it showing your professionalism :bigups
This will gain you a loyal customer and he will tell his friends ;)
