Hi all .
I need your help,this is the story:
I have a black car with some not too heavy scratches on the doors,I'm looking for an over the counter scratch remover ,there are so many choices and I can't tell by looking at the bottles which one is the appropriate one for my application.
I also have a small palm polisher and a few 6" bonnets(2X terry cloth,2X yellow sponge, 1Xwaxing ,2Xbuffing bonnet), WG polish enhancer& WG sealant.
I Have seen videos of polishing and swirl removal,so I'm going to follow their technique .
So the question is :what's the best OTC scratch remover for a beginner?I did a research and got mixed reviews on ScratchX,how about 3M or Meguiars ?
Forgive me if this question was asked and answered before,I couldn't find anything useful.

I went through a few products, but the only one that did it for me (considering that I am using muscle power) is scratch X (applied everyday over some weeks). I hope when I get my porter cable that will be over
 
I've been able to get good results with both ScratchX and Mothers Scratch Remover. I think the Mothers was a bit faster, but it was in no way an aggressive polish. Either product will likely require multiple applications.
One thing to consider if you use either is that they have diminishing abrasives, which means that they become less abrasive the longer you work them. By this I mean that you will remove more paint by applying "fresh" product more frequently than you will by working 1 application for longer periods of time.
Once you get the scratch/swirls removed to your satisfaction, then apply a final bit and work the product a little longer and you should get a "better" finish.
