Over polishing clear coat?

IF the pinpricks are tiny pits as opposed to the semi-circular scratches, that's different. The pinpricks can come from a few things and IMO are usually best just lived with. This is more like that "sandblast effect" you mentioned, and it can actually be that sort of thing from rocks/etc. tossed up by vehicles in front of you.



On the semi-circles, since the polishing does seem to make them better, then there you have it :D So the question becomes "do you want to eliminate that issue more than you want to preserve clearcoat thickness?" Wonder how bad (oops, I mean "how good") things would look after a coat of SRP :think:
