Do you believe that? But I'm not here to argue I see alot of us here are COLOR blind !!!!!!

Newagain....

Where did I bring this up as a "racial issue?"

Newsflash.. I didn't. You did in your subsequent post.

I used variations of your spellings and a few smilies available here on the forums.

If that makes me seem racist to you, it is your problem, not mine.

Also There are lots of so called PROFESSIONAL DETAILERS that detail vehicle out in the open as such seen in that picture alot wont admit it but they are on this PHORUM.

Some of our pros here do detail "out in the open". They post their work in "click and brag", and their talent speaks for itself!

l think the racial comments were derived from the way they were "werding" things..

Partly yes, but partly (at least in my comment referencing socioeconomics) I just look at it that people in some income brackets don't know, understand, or care about proper detailing techniques, or even ways to keep their cars from getting nasty in the first place. I detailed a DeVille over the weekend and upon returning it said "I found some chicken bones under the seats and barbeque sauce on the radio controls. You might want to stop eating in the car as it is causing the stains you were complaining about." The response was "Yeah. Whatever."

Now, these folks are of a upper-middle bracket and can obviously afford the "nice things" in life (in their driveway also sits a jag and a late model expedition). What baffled me was, how can they possibly just not care to take care of these expensive vehicles they're driving?! :wall

Yet I've done work for people in a very low-class bracket, and what little money they had was gladly put towards detailing regularly and keeping things clean and in good condition. They were very particular about what was being used on their vehicles and how; said they wouldn't go to "just any detailer" since they've recieved cars back in worse shape than they started in from a few. And these are base model economy-type cars we're talking about here.

Point simply being, it seems to me that the folks who can afford the nicer cars like that STS and the Denali, just don't care if it's kept up or not.

thats really true in some cases, and also the fact that the upper class are some of the cheapest ppl i have ever met. (no offense to anyone). One guy put it to me like this.

"I didnt make my money by giving it away foolishly." (Old nasty man)

Yup I cant agree more. The more $$$ you have the less care you care about anything, except the money. I bet Bill Gate doesnt need to wash his car at all and forget about waxing it too,etc :chuckle:

Hells yeah :2thumbs: I heard to start his car...You need to press CTRL-ALT-DEL to start it :rofl

BTW have you guys ever seen cars being driven like that? No lie but I have actually seen cars being driven/parked that had dry wax residue alll over the car! Do you think they just assume you apply and leave it?

I always wanted to ask the people, but never could...

ive seen some pretty bad wax jobs where they leave a lot of residue but not to that extent. I saw the car the yukon today while i was washing my clients A6 and it was swirled and hologramed to high heaven. Not to mention OXIDIZED. This is black paint none the less. These guys are getting business???? I dont get it.

The lure of an inexpensive "detail" is what gets them business, whoever, once the customer sees what they have done, the bitterness of a poor quality detail will remain long after the sweetness of the low price!

ya, i agree but the sad thing is, most people don't see what we see and they just see a shiney car. No swirls or holograms or any of that. Especially on any light color car. It hurts my sense of confidence when i see ppl get paid to do Damage to a car like they did. You should have seen the holograms on the GS300 i posted, They didnt show up in pics, but they were HORRIBLE. I asked and he said he had it done before. I tried to show the holograms to him in the right light and he still didnt see them. I just don't understand how people can see these things in sunlight on a BLACK car none the less.
