Outch ! ... something bad happened :( *Clay bar accident?*

IMO even without debris the clay will mar, it is the clay per se that causes it. At the ends of the glide where the hydrodynamic lubrication film breaks down the clay will hard contact the paint. At least thats how I treat it. That said, I also assume even microfiber will mar and swirl paint (it has!) until I try and find it unnoticeable.

Ended up selling my Berlina Black S2000 because my best microfiber would mar the paint, "aint [nobody] got time for that"!

jlb85- I hear you on the "ain't nobody got..."!  No way would I put up with stupid-soft clear, especially on black.

Let me edit your comment on the clay cutting through the lube just a bit:.."At the ends of the glide *IF* the hydrodynamic lubrication film breaks down..".

I guess a big part of this is that I *NEVER* move the clay more than a few inches *at most*, and I keep that distance well within the film of lube.  I know most people move the clay much farther on each stroke, sorta like the way most people move their wash/dry media for quite a ways.  Heh heh, I guess it's part of why people watch me do things my way and say "Forget it, no way am I gonna do that [nonsense]!"

OK, I'd better shut up, I'm reminding myself of those folks who can't let anything go

lol

On a positive note, I was able to snap some shot of the water beading.

Yes, we received rain this week-end, gotta love Quebec's weather.

In one week, we went from -35F and snow storm to a nice 41F this week-end with rain.
