Out Of Time

Hey guys.



Worked on my new car detail today but ran out of time due to some prior obligations.



So far I washed, did the A-B-C 3 step system wash, clayed and taped for polishing.



I'm not going to be able to finish the detail until a few days, so what should I do to the surface when I'm about to start polishing again? I'm assuming there will be dust. Should I just use a duster? Or maybe detail spray and a micro fiber?



Also, is it ok to leave the tape on for the next dew days?

It just depends. Yeah, one of those kinda things :rolleyes: Some tape, on some surfaces, turns into a nightmare a lot quicker than you'd expect, and then you're in deep [trouble]. If it were my car, I'd *probably* risk it with 3M's Yellow bodyshop tape or *maybe* with their green or blue ones. I sure *wouldn't* risk it with any generic or "Duck" brand tape though.

If it still seems spotless I might just QD it, especially if major correction is in the cards anyhow. Otherwise I'd do an ONR (or conventional) wash. But then I'm not a fan of dusters period.
