1st. Would like to say I love this site already. Not sure why I havn't been here sooner. Most sites are filled with hate, spam, and you can't seem to get any serious people to answer your questions. I already see a pressence of friendlyness here.

2nd. Quick question: SOFTGLOSS XS WITH FOAMBRITE, does this really not scratch the paint and work as well as they say. Please don't answer with conspiracy, i'm looking for someone who has been in one. Prefferably a black car, or deep colour. As we all know, white can run in a bush and almost be fine to the average eye. lol.

3rd. Down to the dirt.

Im no amateur. I use a pretty interesting system to wash. No buckets and as many cloths/mits as I see needed. Top down approach. Wheels and engine 1st. I feel buckets can collect dirt, therefor simply constantly rinse my mits/cloths. YEs I use more soap, but whatever.

For waxes I have tried a lot. And I mean a Lot. Right now my collection is - Sealtech cleaner wax(pink), and sealant(green). This seems to do a fairly good job for your average consumer vehicle. The sealant by machine buff actualy holds a nice shine for the long-term (8months) as long as the car is washed by me, and not harsh soap or machine or touchless. I also have some Carnauba, Meguires (its ok). Spray wax and blah blah. Dosnt matter, these arn't really used much.

Advice here would be appreciated since I find different waxes on different cars work better. i choose the "pink" and "green" combo since it works on almost every car and seems to satisfy the average consumer needs.

Im in the process of moving to a multi-million dollars location. :bigups I will be seeing and increasing amount of quality cars, and was wondering what is best to use on what? I heard zaino is amazing on fiberglass. I tried it, and somehow NOTHING. A silicone wax seems to work better and satisfies the gentlemans needs more. That dosnt seem right to me. And drives me insane. :nervous:

Shampoo: Im ok for now.

wipe-down: Ok

Windows: Ok

Tire sealant. Now I live in Canada. YAY salt. So, whats best here ?

Dash shine. Grrr, once again silicone works best, and dries hard. in 15yrs not one car was damaged. BUT, this does not seem right to me.

Anyways, All tips, comments, suggestions, lessons and invites to training will be accepted and tested. I love to learn, And im always interested in new ways. Once I learned to admit im not perfect, I started to learn, improve and focus.

Thanks guys :xyxthumbs

Welcome to Autopia. Yes, we all appreciate the fact that the Autopia forums are a friendly place where one can learn much about detailing, and life in general!

Is SOFTGLOSS XS WITH FOAMBRITE some sort of drive-through car wash? Perhaps you could explain it a little better.

I mean no offense here, but perhaps you should read through your words before you hit the 'post' button. Nobody expects perfect spelling and grammar, but your words should at least make sense. What do you mean when you say "... white can run in a bush and almost be fine to the average eye."?
