I dont eat in the car and dont let anyone eat in my car either. My wife eats in her car, and I bust her all the time with all kinds of things I find in there when I wash it.She tries, but its not her strong suit..

The things that drive me nutts are 1.) when people use their feet to push open the doors 2.) spilling food or beverages 3.) putting their feet up on the dash.
Number three is just nasty and trashy, IMO. It's one thing to take your shoes off because your feet hurt, but to take off your shoes and put them on the dash for the world to see just because you can is just ghetto. No one wants to take a look at your hooves.
My wife used to always get irritated with me when I first got my truck, because I would never let her eat or drink inside of it. I've had my truck for eight years now and just within the last year, year and a half, have started up easing up on the rules. That is until a couple of weeks ago. We had gotten ice cream and as we were driving home she spilled some of it on the carpet and now I'm having a hard time getting it out. I was told that steam would do the trick, but I don't have a steam machine. So needless to say, the rules will go back into effect. It's killing me to see the stain.
I forgot about a fourth rule...NO SMOKING. I hate it when people ask me that. Does my truck look or smell as if I smoke in it?!
A policy of no food, etc is a given in our household, unless it's my wife's car. Don't ask. :scared:
Generally, very few folks ride with me outside of immediate family. My children were exposed to daddy's car rules from day one. They've never kicked the seats, tracked excess dirt into the car(s) or anything else that might provoke immediate disciplinary action, knowing their dad would kick their butts all the way home. You should have seen their parents' reaction when they touched a GT350 at a show when they were very small. A side benefit of this revolves around the kids' respecting cars in general, and knowing what's appropriate and what's not in the automotive culture.
I guess I'm the odd man out on here. No special rules.Golden Retriever and German Shepard ride with me in the truck and Firebird (top down only).Gives me an excuse to clean up the vehicles more often.Life is too short.I drive over 3,600 miles alone each week. Taking the dogs or grandkids for a ride is a hoot for me as well as it is for them.![]()
