OTC Washes

I have to go with NXT! Very Slick and Smells good too.

My local walmart doesnt carry it but the pepboys across the street does. I hope they arent pulling it and if so I will have to stock up!

If the NXT wash is sold out in your area, I'd go with the GC from that list. Always buy the "Are you kidding me" size jug :p

stogie1020, I like Mother's Cali. Gold. Smells like bubble gum, great slickness :xyxthumbs

All of the NXT wash has disappeared from my area also. Meguiar's is VERY poorly represented in this area. NO professional products and not much beyond Deep Crystal products.

Try Eagle One Wet. I find it better than GC or Mothers. Mothers, in fact, was rather poor in lubrication and cleaning ability for me.

How does Duragloss Car Wash hold up in comparison to--

Eagle One Wash

Meg's Gold Class

Megs NXT Wash

Would anyone say that Duragloss is better than the 3 listed above???

I have used all four and Duragloss is my favorite by far. Better lubrication, slicker finish, cleans well but is not hard on the LSP, and excellent water spot prevention.

I gave the Eagle One away. I gave NXT to my GF. I use Gold Class on the wheels. Duragloss is my go to wash.

Every time I read a post from SteveT or Bill D about Duragloss I tell myself I need to give it a try but never can find it locally.

I used the duragloss shampoo last week and it is VERY good stuff. Extremely slick, a good balance between good cleaning/being gentle and smells great.

It also sticks to the paint surface very well. It actually takes some effort to rinse off the paint. I'ts my favorite wash now :) It's sold at Carquest.

Where do you get Duragloss? I didn't see any at Pepboy's or Autozone.

I get mine over the border in Niagara Falls NY. Carquest sells it for $19.99 a gallon. They also sell 16 oz and 64 oz sizes.

I knew you would like it. This product has been much too over looked for far too long.

Yeah this is really the only potential downside of this product. It's very nice :up

Try using less soap. Duragloss is a very concentrated product you don't need to use much and it still provides excellent lubrication.

I mean a downside by potentially taking more time to completely rinse off. Yes, need to experiment with different concentrations to get the perfect amount of lubrication while still rinsing off fairly easily.

I used to think that Eagle One was the best, as it performed better than NXT for me. However, I had the chance to use NXT and EO-wet in hard water not so long ago as my inlaws have a well.... Roles reversed, it is not even close. Much less water spotting, longer lasting suds and no loss of slickness, NXT performs as good as with very mild water. EO still works fine, but the suds die quickly. NXT is almost unaffected. While I may still pick EO for mild water, NXT is a better all-around.

The other one I like (in fact, I love the smell) is the zymol car wash. However, is has less lubricity and less dirt disolving power than the other 2. I also noticed it is harsher on the LSP as slickness / beading dimishes more with this wash. :nixweiss

i like both nxt & gc. nxt has longer lasting suds, as the gc is a bit slicker. now only if costco would offer the nxt in the 1.25 gallon jug....:chuckle:
