OTC Washes

Since Meg's canceled NXT Wash (I'm assuming they did since no stores carry it anymore), what OTC washes do you guys use and like? I'd like some suggestions for good quality, and nicely sized (64+ oz) washes.

The choices I have so far are

Eagle One Wash 64oz = $4.99

Meg's Gold Class 640z = $7.99

Turtle Wax Gallon = $5

Kit Wash 64z = $2.99

Purple Power wash = ???

Orange Blast wash = ???

I'm leaning towards Gold Class but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

I wasn't aware that Megs cancelled their NXT car wash. I bought mine at the end of February but I didn't see it in the store the other day so perhaps that's the case.

I'd go for the Gold Class.

NXT car wash is not discontinued, it is more likely that the store has decided to stop carrying it. You can still find it at pep boys and autozone.

I just bought mine at Walmart 2 weeks ago.

I like GC. I've used EO but I wasn't too impressed by it. Still, it is about the equal of GC as far as cleaning ability goes.

the 2 AutoZones and 2 Pepboys near my house don't have any NXT Wash left, I haven't seem them carry it for a month or so actually. I know Walmart has stopped carrying it around my area too.

I guess I'll get the Gold Class for my foam gun.

Ditto, for OTC, Gold Class is great !

actually megs not too long ago reforumlated the nxt wash

it used to be a like a puke purple color, now it it a deep blue/purple color

just picked some up about a week ago, at pepboys

I'd go with the Eagle One or the Gold Class. The old formulation of the EO is supposed to be great, but I haven't tried the new version. One is blue and one is red, but I can't tell you which is which.

Gold Class is very cheap and great for what it is. Not as good as the boutique product washes, but you can't complain too much.

You can find more boutique products like S100/P21S washes locally OTC, but it takes some more digging. Products like these would be the best, but it may not be worth your time and money to hunt them down.

mrecktid, I don't know which end of Mesquite you are in, but the W@lm@rts in Garland and Rowlett are carrying the newer (blue) NXT wash.

I have Eagle One Wet Car Wash (red) and Meguiar's Gold Class. IMO neither wash compares favorably with the NXT wash. I have pushed both down to wheel and tire duty and won't repurchase either product. It's too bad the gallons of Zymol car wash disappeared.

I bougt the Turtle Wax wash on a special deal recently and I have to say that it isnt bad either. Its actually something worth looking into as well :D There seems to be much more enthusiasm for gold class though

Costco in Canada has TW Platinum Series Wash quite cheap and it seems to be a good product so far. Have used it twice and although I haven't had any heavy cleaning for it yet it seems to suds and lubricate quite well.

I'm between Horn and Mesquite High Schools. Yeah I just checked the Pepboys by Towneast and alas, they had NXT Wash. I''m glad I checked it out before buying some gold class.

How does Duragloss Car Wash hold up in comparison to--

Eagle One Wash

Meg's Gold Class

Megs NXT Wash

Would anyone say that Duragloss is better than the 3 listed above???
