OTC wash shampoo - Any Suggestions?

I'm a huge fan of both Gold Class Shampoo and NXT Tech Wash.

But I tend to reach for the NXT more... just love the LOOK of my cars after a wash. :shocked

If you have a smaller chain parts store such as NAPA, go with Duragloss. It's the best OTC wash I've used. It's great with a foam gun. :up

Ditto! Really a great wash, great cleaning power, plenty of suds, and leaves a really good shine on its own. I buy it by the gallon. Smells yummy too!

I agree with Bill and Tiger Mike....the duragloss shampoo is one to beat....the only equal to it is Griots..but at twice the price...just sticking your hand in the bucket and rubbing your fingers together is like sticking them in oil...and it sheets water off nice during the rinse....if you want the best..get Griots or Duragloss

any carquest or napa will get it for you..usauly next day...or 4.95 to ship for a gallon from duragloss and they are fast shippers...

Just for fun £4.99 16OZ GC (about $9!!) we dont get ANY discount stores with it!! $7.40 for Soft Wash!!

GC is my fav. OTC wash though, unless my car is just too dusty/gritty for QD but not really dirty then i go for Soft Wash (my summer wash).

With the recent raving about Duragloss going on around here, I decided to give their wash a try. It's a good wash, but a bit more expensive than the GC. I'm going to stick with the GC once I finish the Duragloss.
How does it compare to GC? Would GC be fine and not take anything away from the finish? Just want to make sure b/c I've seen other peopl say to use certain wash but those washes were fairly strong and moreso help to strip whatever you have or weaken the layers.

The DG wash is quite a bit stronger than the GC wash, and IMO, it produces much more suds. If you are looking for a gentle wash, then GC is it. I gave up on GC because it was just too gentle for my needs and didn't suds to my liking. Between the two, the GC is going to be much more friendly on the beauty waxes.

I will never cease to be amazed at the differences people report with the same shampoos. I find GC to be really slick and incredibly sudsy (it's one of those washes where the rinse bucket gets a mound of suds in it), while you report it doesn't suds enough, and Accumulator says he doesn't think it's slick. Accumulator says the Griot's is really slick, while it didn't strike me that way. Is it the water? Do we judge slickness differently?
