OTC wash shampoo - Any Suggestions?

I'm looking for a new OTC wash. I have been using NXT wash for almost 2 years now and I cannot find it at wally world anymore.

I have tried Eagle One, it was OK, but I liked NXT better.

Has anyone tried Turtle Wax ultra platinum wash? It's on sale at Target.

Target also had gallon sizes of Meg's GC, how does GC compare to NXT?

I don't have duragloss nearby.

Thanks,

Steve

BlackMagic had the best smell and produce tons of suds.

I've tried every OTC wash

Now I use Optimum No Rinse. With each wash I see the folley of

dealing with a hose and that whole mess. That stuff is for REALLY DIRTY cars.

An enthusiast car never really gets that dirty or maybe its just me...

The GC is really nice, tends to streak/spot quite a bit if you let it dry on the car, but very sudsy and slick, not to mention economical at Target ($11/gal).

I tried the TW Platinum, and is really good!! Doesn't create as many suds, but I think it gives a very good lubricity (spelling) and it leaves a nice shine on the car!!

4/5 stars for it :woot2:

Is GC more gentle than NXT, I think NXT is a bit strong, but it's other attributes are great.

Does it contain wax? Seems like everthing TW makes has a ton of fillers or wax.

Another vote for Gold Class

At costco I bought 160oz (1 1/4 gallons) for just $7.89! (At Fred Meyer the 64oz was selling for $8.49)

costco is great, your savings on GC and big packs of microfibers alone will pay the membership fee.

not to mention 30 pound sacks of cereal ;)

The TW Platinum Ultra Gloss wash ($4 for 1.25 gal at Big Lots) is a decent wash. Doesn't seem to have "wax" in it, but I'm sure it's got some polymers, but it rinses pretty clean.

Yeah, the Target pricing is pretty silly, too, it's $8 or$9 for the half gallon, and the gallon is $11 (used to be $10).

I've used the gold class for quite a while, 2nd costco bottle. I like it. I think i will like it more when used in conjuction with my upcoming foam gun.

I like the Gold Class shampoo.

With the recent raving about Duragloss going on around here, I decided to give their wash a try. It's a good wash, but a bit more expensive than the GC. I'm going to stick with the GC once I finish the Duragloss.

If you have a smaller chain parts store such as NAPA, go with Duragloss. It's the best OTC wash I've used. It's great with a foam gun. :up
