I've been lurking the boards a while and I thought I would share my work.

I clay barred then added 2 layers of AIO, and I have been layering with one layer of Klasse SG every day for the past few days. I have 7 layers of SG as of today and I'll be adding more SG. :D

looks good.

however, althought I've no experience w/ SG ive read that anything more than 2-3 coats is going to produce diminishing results. It's also been a debate on how long to let cure 24hr/7days. I would wait 7days.

nice car:up

Looks nice.

I'd also agree that you're wasting product layering so much. No more than 1 coat of AIO is needed, and only 2-3 of SG at most.

THanks for the comments guys! :xyxthumbs

I don't know cause I'm kinda new to layering this stuff, but is there any validity to what the dudes at Klasse said about layering? Supposedly you can put layers of this stuff (SG) on, but I don't know what the results of several layers will look like; this is my first time doing it.

Q. Should you wait between applying multiple coats of HGSG?

A. The first coat of HGSG can be applied immediately over a base coat of All-In-One. After that, it's best to wait 8 to 12 hours between coats of HGSG. We have customers with show cars (not daily drivers) that will wipe on a coat of HGSG one day, buff it off the next day and immediately apply another coat. They'll do this every day for a month, literally putting on 30 coats of HGSG over a 30 day period. This sounds crazy but I've seen some of these cars and they're absolutely breathtaking!

Beyond 3-5 layers, there is no benefit to the paint. If you want to experiment, pick up some quality carnauba wax and top the SG. It will add wetness and depth to the paint. Some quality carnaubas are Pinnacle Souveran, Pooboy's Natty's Paste wax, S100, and Meguiar's #16.

Nice Bimmer...Very Clean :)

Past about 5 layers, there is no more shine achieved. May I suggest topping with a carnauba...S100 or Trade Secret would be my choice on metallics.

This may be the most beautiful shade of blue I have seen in many, many years. I wonder what Pinnacle Souveran would look like on this car...

Nice detail work there L337!

Here is a pic from last year when I had 19" BBS Ch's on the car. On that day I think i did AIO and then a layer of S100 but no SG.

that's a nice blue, in the first pic it looks black.

heh heh, maybe if your car was a light color the black grill would look good. but yeah, it looks like someone stole your grill or something. :p and it looked super nice with the 18's, they really fill the wheel well really well. :p

I think you will be amazed with the slickness of UPP over SG. If you don't have SONUS Acrylic Spritz for QD'ing get some. I think it add sparkle to the SG or UPP, which ever is last applied. My truck has all of the above.
