ordered up porter cable and products, advice before the big day?

All i have to say is WOW, porter cables rock!

Ya anyways i started at about 8am this morning and ended at about 8 pm, no break str8 though (ate a donhut while i was apply the ssr2 lol). PC is no joke, its hard work and im not going to lie im a lil sore. It takes some practice but i think i got the hang of it by the end of the ssr2. The hard work is well worth the effort though. My steps so far have been (im not done yet !!!!)

1.wash dirtiest truck has ever been, took over an hour (used standard meguairs gold glass mit from autozone)

2. clay bar also took a while

3. wash again (used my new mf mitt from smp, very pleased much better than last mf mitt i used)

4. dry

5. ssr2 -scary at first but i think i got the hang of it, started at 4 and quickly worked up to 6.

6.unfortunately no rmg, due to time constraints i decided to skip it, i hope this wasnt to bad of a choice

7. went str8 to EX sealant -much easier than ssr2 to apply

As of now the truck is lookin awesome! Aftrer i finished the ex at about 7pm i did the windows and tires so it would look good enough for school, i plan to s and g it tuesday and add a coat of nattys b and then repeat wednesday. Also i s and g ed after the ssr2 becuase of all the dust and stuff.

Overall i am very pleased, u could eat off the truck right now and its not even waxed, the pc did its job and removed 90% of the swirls and stuff, though if i did it again i think i would get even better results being more expeirinced with it now. Thx for all the help guys. BTW i got the before pics but no nattys on yet so ull have to wait =P

Oh come on, where are your beach muscles??? :lol

Lookin forward to the pics... And skipping RMG might sacrifice a little in looks, but the durability will probably be better without it.

before

Its hard to tell beause of the morning and the dew but the truck was the dirtiest it had ever been, light swirl marks and such to.

AFTER

The truck looks 100x better but its still not even close to perfect. theres lots of little stuff i need to work on and not to mention just redoin the whole thing with more expeirience should weild better results as there are still some swirl marks and stuff on the truck. thx for the help everyone. Ill be sure to post in april when i spend a few days on it and do everything right.

:thx

thx, lol actualy im using autozones black magic tire gel, it sux but your right it looks good in the pic. I recently picked up some amorall tire foam spray but forgot to use it =(, o well. Also though it looks good in the pics because i used zwipes, little foam thingys that you put tire dressing on.

btw whats a good tire dressing?

lol no weather is nice but im still in hs and i work at circuit city so free time is far and in between, until spring break in april =)

Ah, I see.

BTW my two favorite tire dressings are Natural Look and Wolfgang Tire Gel. The WG stuff holds the nice black look for a lot longer. But both are great dressings. I use the NL more in the summer, when I can reapply it twice a week if I choose. I only apply tire dressings during the winter if it gets above freezing.
