Well I am about to make an order from TOL. What else do you guys recommend me trying out while I am ordering?

So far my order looks like this:

Foam Wax Applicators 6x

Opt. Poli Seal <--- What is everyone's judgment on this product?

Opt. Hyper Compound

Opt. Polish

Silicone Remover

Interior Leather Scent

GR-40 Trim Cleaner

Grape Dressing

HTEC

HTHC

Molding & Bumper Renew

Hose Nozzle 6-way - I need a new one

HT One-Step Wax

Any and all recommendations would be greatly appreciated.:woot:

Why not get one or the other? The one steps i mean. Never tried poli seal but so many others have. I've used the one step wax from hi temp and thats a great product as well.

I assume you're wondering mostly about products you can only easily find at TOL, assuming that I would also consider:

Hi Temp Tire Cleaner

HT Smooth Cut leveler

Rug Renew

I've got good reviews from a few members on here ( picus ) that is an amazing product. And it does better than a 50/50 wipe down. And for $14 minus well try it.

I have 2 AIO's because I am looking for recommendations on each.

Hi Temp Tire Cleaner <-- How would you rate this against OTC wheel cleaners and/or APC's?

HT Smooth Cut leveler

Rug Renew

I don't think I will need that. I forgot I have 106ff has my final stage.

I like their Best Dressed dressing. Diluted it lasts a long time. Not sure if you need Hyper if you are buying HTEC. Poli-seal is very mild. I generally use OP and them wipe off with OCW.

For some reason every order i place with tol i throw in many bags of thier variable sized swabs. Theyre cheap and good to have on hand for multiple interior crevices/surfaces.

TOL's Deep Down is a good interior cleaner with a good clean smell.

Thanks guys for the recommendations! Keep 'em coming till Monday. I will order after the holiday!

HAVE A WONDERFUL LABOR DAY!:woot:

Is Deep Down a cleaner and a dressing?

I currently use 303 aerospace protectant. Is that considered the same thing? I'd be nice to find a vinyl CLEANER that doesn't have any protection in it. So I can start with a clean slate.

Deep down is an apc, When i use it it's always diluted around 9:1 and it makes quick work of dirty vinyl and leather. Then apply your 303:)

Having HTEC, HTHC, PPG, OHC, PS, and OP, seems a bit redundant, as you are

buying products that basically do the same thing:

PS covers similar ground as PPG. However, I like working with PPG more than PS.

maybe I will grow to like it a lil more, but for now PPG is my go to.

OP can cover similar ground as HTHC

OHC covers similar ground as HTEC

With OP, OC, and OHC, the level of cut is more dependant upon the pad used. They

also tend to work better in sunlight than the HiTemp

So I would suggest either going with some or all from Optimum or going with

some or all from HiTemp. You dont need same kinds of products from both brands.

I'm not looking for posts against my judgment. Just recommendations on products that I should get.

If you believe OHC is better than HTEC, or vice versa; state the reasons.

If you believe PS is better than PPG, or vice versa; state the reasons.

Etc.

Here's what I want out of polishes. Good with LC Flat foam pads on Makita. Won't clog up the pads quickly. Little dust.

Thank you again guys!

I say get both, HiTemp and Optimum - they're both good. One thing I've noticed working with Brandon1 is that we both can use the same stuff and he make like it a lot and I not be impressed - and the reverse is true. We each have our expectations of how a product should work and what the results should look like. When we both like the same product - buy it! Cause it just pleased two demanding detailers. OK, my personal opinion - I give HiTemp the edge because it works (goes in) faster and it costs much less per ounce.

I have both lineups as well, and i like mixing some ht with optimum, or use them straight, you can never have too much polish is what my crazy old polish loving grandpa use to say.

It was not my intention to post against your judgement, but since you ask....

As far as I am concerned, neither one is really better than the other. Both brands have

their pros and cons. Optimum brands are sun friendly, remove easy off paint surfaces,

and have long work time, but they dont always have enough cut in and of themselves.

HiTemp brands have nice cut, but they can clog up pads, and are not the most sun

friendly products.
