"Orbital Polisher"... got a ? or 2...

Alright, so my dad bought this thing that came in a red plastic box (I can't remember for the life of me what brand this thing is) to "wax the car and the boat" with. I think the name is something similar to "Smith and Wesson", but it's not Smith and Wesson. It just has two names in it. I'm pretty sure that it's not a Black and Decker and I'm 100% positive it's not a Porter Cable.

Well, basically, since I have been having problems with 3M SMR application by hand, I was wondering if I should use this thing...

The part of the machine that does the polishing moves in a sort of back and forth motion, but also circular. So it kinda goes all directions really fast. The polishing part of it spins a little bit too. That is what an orbital polisher is, right? It does not just turn in a circle.

So my questions are:

1) Should I use this thing on my car for 3M SMR application and removal of my heavy swirl marks?? 3M IHG application?? Klasse AIO application?? Klasse SG application?? Pinnacle Souveran application??

2) If yes to #1, then what type of bonnet should I use?? The polishing part of this machine has a foam backing that is non-removable (from what I can tell). All you can change is the bonnet. I bought some Turtle Wax "100% cotton terry" bonnets from PepBoys for about $10, but I want your approval for use. If I shouldn't use these bonnets, what should I get and from where??

3) Am I going to get good results if I use this thing?? I don't want to further swirl or damage my car's paint by using it.

Help me out here guys and gals!!
