Orange Edge 2000 pad

I have only see it in pictures by itself. It's not listed on the Edge website. I bought it from Detail City thinking it fit in as more agggressive than the green.

The Orange is a European foam that we make speical for those who request that foam. It is similar to what others call Orange Power pad. It seems to have good cutting and polishing characteristics but to me it seems like a medium cutting pad. It is stiff like a memory foam and puts firm pressure against the buffing surface which aids in cutting.

So you would say it is more aggressive than the green?

I think it depends on what chemical you use it with. I think it is similar to green maybe a bit less texture but the stiffness gives more bite.

As I see it, a little less coarse than a 3M white but firmer. I plan on using it with Poorboys SSR 2.5 or 3M Perfect-it III Compound.

I did a little damage to my 3 week old black hood last night. I polished it with SSR 2.5 and a white 3M foam pad to remove a few deep swirls that came installed by the dealer. Instead, it looks like a scoured that section of the hood with a brillo under incandescent lighting. (Yes I followed with SSR1 and a blakc foam pad and then 3M foamm pad glaze) Under fluorescent, it looks like it is wet in a spray booth. I worked the SSR 2.5 for a while, I was considering running over it all with 2000g paper to start new. - That is how bad it looks to me.
