Optiseal on black metalic?

I have it on my black sapphire metallic volvo C30 and really like the effect. I applied three coats. (I'm travelling and can't post a picture, not that I take very good ones anyway. Sorry.) Later, I applied some carnuba moose wax over it but did it only because I wanted to try the CMW, not because the OS needed it.

scottwax is right... i use it on my black sapphire metallic bmw and my pearl white lexus gx -- both are awesome!

so you think it's better to use only Optiseal after polish, instead of other sealants( Poorboy,Zaino etc)

I stick with OS because it looks good, is easy to apply and has good durability. Don't let the ease of use fool you, it is a true LSP.

I love OS. And like Scott mentioned, it looks good on pretty much anything. I also use it on wheels, if I'm not using 1000P.

I used it on a Black Sapphire BMW X5 this weekend and the paint looked great. Should have some pics up this week. :2thumbs:

I like Opti seal b/c it easy to apply and can be applied often quickly. I havent that good durability, 2 months max. Which im happy for the price and ease of use.

How would you compare optiseal to Zaino CS??

I have used CS for a few months but I do not know there is just something about it I do not like... So I am thinking about getting optiseal but need to know how it compares to CS?

Thanks,

Sorry to go a bit off topic, but how does OS compare to OCW (looks, durability, etc)? TIA

I only have my white car to compare on, so for other colors it may be a bit different.

OS seems to give more reflection/crispness by itself. OCW adds a ton of gloss and depth which, by itself I don't care for on my white car; it tends to make it look like a white blob. I stick with just OS and OID on my car.

I would say both are close in terms of durability, which depends greatly on the environment the car is in and the washing technique used. I wash my car weekly and OID after every wash, so durability is really not a concern for me.

OS has a sealant look with some depth, OCW has depth and wetness. On silver, cars, I like to use OCW over top of OS because the depth, wetness and gloss is amazing. Otherwise, I tend to like OS more on lighter colors and OCW on darker.

OS is more durable but with so many variables, it is hard to say it is X amount more durable than OCW.

Thanks fellas. I have a silver car. I already have ZCS, but I don't care for its look (rather, its lack of) very much. I know OS has a much better look than ZCS, but I'm leaning towards OCW for its gloss and depth. Also, while I do know how to correctly apply WOWA products, I don't enjoy using them as much as traditional Spray LSPs. I prefer applying, then flipping the towel and buffing the smooth/slick finish.

If durability is near OS, that's good enough for me. I could always apply (use up) CS as a base and top with OCW.
