OptiSeal @ 8 weeks on Porsche Turbo

:lol . I had at least the same level of beading with my recent "Zaino at 56 weeks" thread and got flamed.

Both vehicles I've detailed that had Opti-Seal from the last detailer were DOA after 8 weeks (1 garage queen, 1 outside vehicle). Must be that NorthEast truly putting sealants to the test ;).

:rofl

...But you forgot to take a picture of the rear bumper with no beading.;)

 Why are you bringing up an old thread to make that point?

...and to be quite honest, I take durability claims about non-Zaino products by the Zaino crew with a huge grain of salt.

I saw that, very weird how some people just love to hate on a Zaino, all you were doing was being honest and you got the fifth degree, let's put them flames out and be a little more open minded:tribe:

An annoyed moderator who really doesn't want to deal with (yet another) product war thread is watching closely . . . just FYI.

So, thinking about stirring up an argument? That's a paddlin'. Gonna take some potshots at someones choice of product? That's a paddlin'. Snarky remarks to the moderators? Oh, you better believe that's a paddlin'.

I don't think anyone is criticizing someones product preference, merely using this tool to share experiences with other products.

I for one have never used opti-seal, nor have I worked on a car recently protected with it.

If durability was the only factor I would throw away pretty much every paste wax I have. Products I know for sure have great longevity will always stay in my supply. aj ksg 845 etc... I don't understand why Zaino is such a touchy subject matter that demands a moderator to step in, isn't it just another product line? Is to me, and so far so good. Very strange the attention some products get, seems like there's something I don't know.

I don't understand why, either, but over the years (and particularly recently), that has been the case. I've been moderating long enough that I know a potential flamewar when I see it, and it's a lot easier to remind everyone of the rules before the thread has spiraled into useless bickering rather than to wait until someone has crossed the line. The resurrection of this thread just reeks of a flamefest, and I'm not going to let it happen. Timeouts will flow like water if it heads that way.

Thanks, Tort! I had a lousy day at school, but I'm laughing now!

Seems to me that the response by Sean was either a bash at Anthony or at Optimum, so if anyone is firing up the flame-thrower, it is him. Anthony was banned, this is an old thread and the only intent I can see to resurrect it was to take a shot at a person or the product.

I was just looking at threads and saw that car and thought I would express that I wished that they made cars in that color today. No where in that post was there intent to flame Anthony.
