Optimum to Menzerna

I am looking to use a different polish other then OP. I find that it has a lloonngg working time with my Flex. It takes forever to finish a panel. Is Menzerna a better choice?

I am sure they are both great polishes, but doesn Menzerna have a shorter working time compared to OP. It seems like I am wasting a lot of time when using OP.

everything has a shorter working time then OP





if you are looking for a short work time how about M105/M205

(or go to walmart and spend $8 and get some Ultimate compound)

So you prefer M105/205 over menzerna?



I am looking for a QUALITY product with a slightly quicker working time than OP.

LOL. You don't get "better" quality than Meguiars. I would put them at least where Menzerna is as far as quality. Yes M105 and M205 have shorter working time than OP.

Can M105 be used as an all-in-one product? Or is it recommended to use M105 with a slightly aggresive pad, and then follow with the M205 with a finishing pad?



FWIW, I will be using these products on a Chevy Silverado/Suburban with moderate swirls due to washing.

Some say that they have achieved an LSP ready finish after M105, but I always follow it with a finishing polish.



Yes, you would generally use M105 with a more aggressive pad, but always try the least aggressive method first. Try M105 on a white pad and see if that levels the paint to your liking first, and if not step up to an orange pad.

Is the M205 best used with a black pad or a white pad for the finish?

Either pad will work. The white pad has very little cut, and the grey has nearly no mechanical ability. I would start with the white and if you feel you need to go to grey after white thats fine, but I'll bet you won't notice much difference.
